From the Three-Finger Jack family: Jack Mansong, the escaped African who robbed Blue Mountain carriages in 1780–81. The Maroon Quashee shot two fingers from his hand — the wound named him, and Jamaica made him a folk hero. His mark carries exactly three fingers.
Tonal mountain-ridgeline and pine design across the seat, woven into the fabric. Antique-gold 876 at the front of each leg, with the MYAL name in blackletter above the left one. No back pockets — the back carries the design only.
Why this piece — Jack Mansong held his three-fingered hand high — sabre, pistols, and the Blue Mountain roads. Jamaica's outlaw folk hero.
